Turning AI Hype into Real Productivity

Turning AI Hype into Real Productivity

October 3, 2025

Earlier this month, several members of our team attended Elevate 2025, sponsored by monday.com, where we explored new features, best practices, and real-world success stories related to the platform we use daily to manage and deliver projects for our clients. Attending the conference provided us with valuable insights into how other organizations are maximizing the platform, and it inspired us with ideas to further streamline our own processes. In this post, we’ll share some of our key takeaways and how they’ll shape the way we work moving forward.

Pairing AI with Process Clarity

A central theme throughout the event was the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and how it’s actively reshaping the way we work. The capabilities showcased were undoubtedly impressive. From automating routine tasks to surfacing insights in real time, AI is opening up opportunities for teams to move faster and work smarter. But one thought kept coming to mind as we listened: AI can only be effective if your processes are clearly defined.

It’s easy to get excited about what AI can do. The challenge lies in knowing where and how it should be applied. Without clarity on your workflows, you risk layering AI on top of inefficiencies, which can actually make things more complicated rather than more productive. To unlock real productivity, organizations need to bring two critical elements together:

  1. A clear picture of their own processes and workflows.
  2. A solid understanding of AI’s capabilities.

When these two elements align, you can identify exactly where AI will add the most value and build solutions that deliver lasting results.

The 6-Step Methodology

One of the most valuable takeaways from the conference was an advanced methodology designed to guide this process. It’s a structured, six-step approach that ensures AI is applied thoughtfully, not just reactively:

  1. Diagnose the need for change: Pinpoint the problem or inefficiency you’re trying to address before jumping to solutions.
  2. Revisit workflows: Take a fresh look at your current processes to ensure they’re effective and worth automating or enhancing.
  3. Deep dive discovery: Gather details and insights that may not be obvious at first glance. These often reveal the biggest opportunities for AI.
  4. Build a blueprint: Map out both the revised workflow and how AI will be integrated into it.
  5. Execute the workflow: Put the new process into action with AI embedded where it adds value.
  6. Validate, monitor, and improve: Measure the results, refine the process, and continue to adapt as needs and tools evolve. Don’t feel committed to a certain process if it’s not working.

Our Reflection

This framework reinforces the idea that AI isn’t a silver bullet; it’s an accelerator. When you take the time to define your workflows, identify where change is needed, and follow a structured process like the one outlined above, AI can be woven into your operations in a way that drives measurable, lasting productivity improvements.
