Thank you letters will never go out of style. When interviewing at a company, no matter the size or how well you may know them, always thank them for their time.
These simple acts go a long way and could make you stand out in the interview process with interviewers. There have been several times throughout the interview processes I have been a part of that the interviewer always mentions how they appreciate the gesture of a Thank you letter. In a role such an Account Executive, or a role that requires excellent follow-up and attention to detail – these letters are a MUST!
So how would you write a thank you letter to a potential future employer? Here are some best practices and tips on a structure for that letter:
- Thank the interviewers for their time.
- Express why you are interested in the role.
- Mention something you spoke about during the interview to show your attention to detail.
- Once again let them know you are interested and contact you if they have any further questions.
After your next interview, follow these simple steps and you will be on your way to success! Success starts with these small, simple gestures.
